Hey Friends and Neighbors,

I told the worship team I’d be posting these lyrics. Haven’t really gone through these with my fine-toothed lyric “comb” yet. And I know it probably seems wordy–I have a basic melody so far, but at this stage it’s more poetry than lyric. Anyway, you’ll get the idea, I think:

Is there any language, any speech
To describe Your majesty?
Are there any words sufficient to explore
The depths of Your greatness?

How unspeakable is your goodness?
How untraceable are your ways?
How unsearchable are Your judgments?
Yet You choose to reveal Yourself to me

All my words fall to the ground
I still my heart and quiet my mind

For there is no language
There is no speech
There is no utterance
No brilliant verse
No catchy phrases
There are no words
To speak of Your depths
But for what it’s worth

There is nothing I can say
But Lord You take my breath away

Some text taken from:
Rom 11:33 “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!”
